PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN 

This course provides the participant with information on the unique aspects of contracting for architect and engineer services. Coverage includes the Brooks Act, solicitation evaluation, award and administration of A&E contracts. This course is suitable for more experienced contracting personnel.

Architect-Engineer (A-E) Contracting focuses on the unique aspects of contracting for professional A-E services. The course is designed for acquisition workforce personnel in the contracting career field who have achieved a solid baseline of contracting knowledge.  Students will cover issues across the contracting spectrum, including acquisition planning, source selection, proposal analysis, contract award, and work and contract management. Specific topics and practical exercises also include the Brooks Act, SF254s/255s, slate and selection process, reviews of government estimates, liability, Title II services, modifications, and contracting officer technical representatives (COTR) responsibilities.
