RONALD D. GROSSMAN, PMC, PCMH, CISCM, CEPP, has a well deserved reputation as a Consultant and a Trainer in the fields of Supply Chain Management, Lean Logistics, Traffic and Warehouse Management, Systems Enhancement and Implementation, and Export/Import Operations.  With over 35 years of experience, he offers a strong domestic and international background through his line, staff, business consulting and education activity in the areas of supply chain management, process mapping, e-procurement, traffic and transportation, automatic data collection, logistics systems, e-commerce, warehousing, and distribution.

Mr. Grossman is an Executive Consultant and Practice Leader with CATTAN Services Group, Inc. and our resident expert on Lean Tools.  He focuses on project management, operations process improvement, cost and spend rationalization, and enhanced resource utilization.  Clients he has helped include AVGOL; Coastal Refineries, div. He is a member of PMA-Connecticut and Secretary of the ISM’s Logistics and Transportation Group’s Executive Committee.  He is an active member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), the Materials Handling and Management Society (MHMS), and the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC).  Ron holds an ASB from Northeastern University, a BGS from the University of Connecticut, and an MS in Technology Management from Central Connecticut State University where he has taught as adjunct faculty in logistics and project management.
For over twelve years Ron has trained in both corporate and public seminar environments, with emphasis on transportation and warehousing issues, and conducts "in-house" private sessions for various corporations and the American Management Association.
Mr. Grossman’s line experience includes progressively responsible positions as Senior Project Manager, Principal, Vice President Distribution, Director of International Distribution, Manager Transportation and Warehousing, Purchasing Agent, and Applications Consultant.  His career spans service with Argee Logistics; Unisys Corporation; Digital Equipment Corporation; Chesebrough-Ponds, Inc.; Rockwell International; Creusot-Loire Steel Corporation; Early Learning Centres; Dun & Bradstreet Software Services, Inc.; World Trade Services, Inc.; and Bell Telephone Laboratories.

Mr. Grossman has been a cited authority in articles appearing in Distribution, Global Trade, Receiving and Shipping, IOMA's Managing Distribution, and Transportation and Distribution magazines.  He has been a guest speaker at Distribution/Computer Expo and at local Institute of Supply Management (ISM)chapter meetings.  The prestigious Consultants Bureau has designated Mr. Grossman as a PMC (Professional Management Consultant), and the Materials Handling and Management Society has awarded him the coveted title of PCMH (Professional Certified in Materials Handling).  Ron, a Certified Lean Tools Practitioner, is also a Certified International Supply Chain Manager through the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Institute and a Certified E-Procurement Professional from the American Certification Institute.
